THE ASSOCIATION OF BRITISH DRIVERS

IN SCOTLAND

West of Scotland Area

It is only appropriate that the Area which contains Scotland's largest conurbation in the form of Glasgow makes fair comment on such issues as City Congestion and also its own Inner Ring Road. The Inner Ring Road's completion has been delayed for so many years that the major bridge built to carry the west flank route (The Kingston Bridge) has been in grave danger of collapse due to it carrying considerably more vehicles that it was designed to take. The relief afforded to both the City of Glasgow and the Kingston Bridge by the completion of a roadway designed well over 30 years ago will be marked.

A recent article in a major Scottish daily newspaper included a number of potentially libellous statements about the ABD. We view this kind of thing very seriously and an immediate response was made through the pages of the same newspaper.
