Thanks for your letter of 23 September.
I would like some further info centred around your comment:
"I can reassure you that the primary purpose of speed cameras is to reduce death and injury on roads. For this reason strict criteria has been put in place to ensure that cameras are not used simply as a means of raising revenue."
OK, so two requests (if I'm to be "reassured"!):
1) I would like before and after (installation) accident statistics for EACH camera site on the A90. If the above statement is true, surely the figures will show how the cameras are benefiting road safety.
2) I would like a breakdown of how much EACH camera on the A90 has raised in revenue since installation.
I appreciate you might not be able to access the data I require. If this is indeed the case, please pass my request onto someone who can help.
