ABERDEEN BUS LANE WOES

I fail to understand the logic used to support the continued exclusion of cars from Aberdeen's bus lanes (EE, Sept 11).

Our taxes are being used to subsidise public transport companies, even though many of us won't use buses and are banned from bus lanes.

The council has the power to reduce needless congestion by, at the very least, allowing car-sharing drivers to use ALL city bus lanes round the clock. Do they really value the skills and money brought into Aberdeen by motorists? Their final decision will deliver the answer.
